In view of the current Covid-19 public health emergency — and in line with government mandates — the University has put in place measures to ensure that online registration occurs in a manner that mitigates the health and safety risks for our staff, students, and members of our local communities.

  • Final date for withdrawal of modules UG, Hons, PGDip and CWM

Registration Procedures

Readmissions

Readmission applications are to be directed to the contacts below. The deadline for readmission applications is Friday, 8 July 2022, no applications will be entertained after this date.

Suspension of studies and no valid curriculum

Students wishing to register for 2nd semester 2022 who were not registered for 1st semester 2022 (due to the above reasons) must complete curriculum advising with our Academic Development Officers and the online LEC®  assessments with our Student Counsellors before registering.

How to register online?

Registration Forms

If you would like to make any changes to your current registration, please fill out the forms below.

Howard College (HC) campus: For students needing to change, add or delete a module.

Howard College (HC) campus: For students needing concession to register for a module without the necessary prerequisite or other exemptions. No change of curriculum forms will be required if concession is approved.

Pietermaritzburg (PMB) campus: For students needing to change, add or delete a module.

Pietermaritzburg (PMB) campus: For students currently registered and needing to change degrees within the College or from another College, and for students needing to change current majors. Please register for modules via self-help registration ONLY after you are informed about the approval of the change of qualification/majors by the college office.

Pietermaritzburg (PMB) campus: For students needing concession to register for a module without the necessary prerequisite or other exemptions. No change of curriculum forms will be required if concession is approved.

Pietermaritzburg (PMB) campus: For students applying for an Honours programme.

Westville (WVL) campus: For students needing to change, add or delete a module.

Westville (WVL) campus: For students currently registered and needing to change degrees within the College or from another College, and for students needing to change current majors. Please register for modules via self-help registration ONLY after you are informed about the approval of the change of qualification/majors by the college office.

Westville (WVL) campus: For students needing concession to register for a module without the necessary prerequisite or other exemptions. No change of curriculum forms will be required if concession is approved.

Westville (WVL) campus: For students applying for an Honours programme.

If you have registered in semester 1 for both semesters, you do not need to register for semester 2.

However if you have not yet registered or have been excluded, you need to fill out the readmission application form and send to your college office (see below).
